Did You Know ...

Gloria Floyd was named after a very special educator, Gloria Louise Floyd, (1924-1977). She loved teaching especially about Florida history and the Everglades. Gloria Floyd was enviromentally conscious long before it became popular to be concerned about the Everglades. After she passed away her colleagues at Leewood Elementary petitioned the school board to build a new school named in her honor.
