Q. What is the "America’s Favorite School " Contest?
A. The "America’s Favorite School" Contest is a nation-wide contest sponsored by Care2.com and GreatSchools.org designed to award schools across the United States with a cash prize to support their students. It is also an effort to reward the teachers, parents, students and communities that are making an extraordinary difference.
The contest is a fun, interactive campaign, because Americans determine who will win by voting for their favorite school and encouraging friends to do the same.
Q. How does it work exactly?
A. People are asked to visit the contest website at http://www.AmericasFavoriteSchool.com to vote for their favorite school and help it win a $20,000 donation from Care2.com.
Q. What is the prize?
A. The group with the most votes wins $20,000 from Care2. In addition to the grand prize, Care2 is awarding $5,000, $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 to the four runner-ups respectively. Care2.com is also sponsoring a $500 prize each week for the eight weeks of the contest to be awarded to a randomly selected participating school, giving every school, from every community, a chance to win.
Q. Who can participate in the contest?
A. Residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia can cast one vote during the course of the contest for a U.S. school. All schools in GreatSchools’ database will be eligible for the contest.
