OCTOBER 22 SCHOOL PICTURE DAY!

LAST DAY TO PAY IS FRIDAY, OCT. 17

Gloria Floyd Elementary School strives to provide students with an integral education in a safe and caring learning environment. We set the highest curriculum standards, guiding our students to reach and maintain academic excellence, while also promoting the emotional, social, and behavioral skills needed for them to grow and develop their full potential as responsible members of our society.

Our school benefits from a supportive and engaged parent community, headed by the local PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION (PTA), which volunteers thousands of hours each year in support of our educative goals.

We welcome and encourage you to explore this website, where you can find very important information as well as useful educative tools for students, parents, and teachers.

Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2014-2015 academic year! It is truly an honor to be able to serve you at Gloria Floyd Elementary School. Our continued goal is to challenge our students intellectually, to encourage them to develop socially, and to guide them toward independent thinking and problem solving. As we strive to promote positive development in all aspects of each studentís life, it is our goal to develop a school community of respectful, responsible, and caring learners who make good choices and decisions resulting in successful outcomes. We encourage students to give

Mr. Todd W. Morrow, Principal

their best, every moment of every day. We want to instill within our students a sense of personal pride, academic responsibility, as well as love for our school.

The program is implemented by qualified professional personnel working in collaboration with students, teachers, parents, community members, and administrators.
